Fall 2008 Conference Michigan Lake and Stream Associations regions seven, nine, ten and eleven will host their annual Regional Seminar on Saturday, August 23rd at BJ’s Restaurant in Gaylord, Michigan. BJ’s Restaurant is located north of M-32 on old US 27 North. Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. The meeting will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and end by 2:00 p.m. Registration fee of $ 15.00 includes BJ’s fabulous buffet, which offers soup/salad, side dishes, entrée and dessert bars. We have two very important topics to present to you. First will be Mr. Rollin Reineck Jr. a fisheries biologist. His topic will be “How to manage an Inland Lake Fisheries”. This topic is important to many lake property owners on how to manage their lakes fish population in the best possible way. Next we have a topic that is very important for any property owner “Cottage Law”. Which is essential for the appropriate way to leave or deed the family cottage, hunting cabin or family homestead to the next or future generations? Because the meeting will be beginning earlier I encourage you to pre-register to same time. Registration forms may be found on ML&SA’s website at www.mlswa.org or check with your lake association. You don’t have to be a member to attend the seminary – public is always welcome. This meeting will be encompassing all the counties from the bridge down to Bay County and on the east side of Michigan to Manistee and north ward on the west. We’ve tried to select topics that are of great interest to you. Why not plan on joining us on August 23rd at BJ’s. Just head north on Old 27, go past the hospital and the restaurant is on the east side just before the round about. For further information you may contact me, Cecile Kortier at 989-742-3104. Hope to see you in August.
